AFTER weeks of watching contestants prove their incredible talent in the hopes of landing in the final, the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions draws to a close tonight.
Fans will get to see who will be crowned the ultimate champ… and win a whopping prize money to boot. Here’s what to expect from this evening’s show…
What is the prize for winning Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions?
The champion will bag a whopping £100,000 prize after Simon Cowell chose to double the winnings.
The original amount was £50,000 but the music mogul decided to times the figure by two after overhearing host Ant McPartlin talk about the prize money.
Reports suggest he interjected, saying: “Did you just say fifty grand? That’s it?”
Ant reportedly replied: “That’s it. Unless you want to double it. Do you want to double it?”
As the live audience cheered, Simon spontaneously respond: “Yes, I will. It’s a hundred grand everybody.”
The lucky act will also take home a trophy for their efforts.
Who are the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions judges?
Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden judge the long list of acts in this revamped series.
Speaking ahead of the series premiere, Simon said: “I love the idea that we could do something which is different.
“Having done the American show, it’s a very different kind of competition between an international act entering your main show and then representing their country on Champions.
“There is a very different mindset.”

Meanwhile, veteran judge Amanda added: “This show is the cream of talent from around the world. So there’s nothing stupid, there’s nothing to criticise, there’s nothing that needs particularly any direction.
“It’s all polished, we kind of all just sit back and enjoy ourselves. The acts are all ridiculously good, there’s nothing we can say to make them any better!
“But we tried and of course we each had our own Golden Buzzer including Ant & Dec. It was weird, but delightful situation to be in!”
Who is in the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final?
We’re five weeks down and ten acts have made it through to the final of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.
Two acts each week head to the final, with the first chosen via the judges’ Golden Buzzer and the second voted for by the superfans in the audience.
Here we take you through who is still in the running of gaining the prestigious Champions crown.
Bars and Melody
Bars and Melody were the winner of week five of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.
Leondre Devries, now 18, and Charlie Lenehan, now 20, formed in 2014 but grew in popularity when they appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014.
The duo impressed the judges again when they performed their song ‘Waiting for The Sun’ on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.
Simon Cowell remarked that the performance was ‘so much better’ than what they’ve done previously.
Twist and Pulse
Alesha Dixon pressed the Golden Buzzer for them, sending the dancing duo straight to the final.
Twist and Pulse consist of Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy – the two have been friends since their secondary school days.
David Walliams said their incredible dance skills and amazing comic timing was “something they’ve never seen before.”
Preacher Lawson
Preacher Lawson was the winner of week four of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.
He made a naughty joke about his toilet business, which had the judges and audience in stitches.
The comic said he had to hold his breath for 11 seconds as he did the dirty.
Later, host Anthony McPartlin shocked viewers when he licked Preacher’s face after he spoke about what he would do if he and Dec licked him.
Stavros Flatley
The father and son duo wowed judges in week four with their Greek version of Michael Flatley’s Lord Of The Dance.
Simon Cowell pressed the Golden Buzzer for the dance duo, automatically sending them through to the grand final.
Alesha said: “I’d love them to win the whole thing.”
Paddy & Nico
In 2014, Paddy and Nico competed in the eighth series of Britain’s Got Talent, where they finished ninth overall.
They were awarded the coveted Golden Buzzer by Amanda Holden.
The dancing duo consist of Paddy, who is 85-years-old, and Nico, who is 40 years younger at 45.
Paddy is the current Guinness World Record holder for the Oldest Acrobatic Salsa Dancer.
Darcy Oake
Darcy is an illusionist from Canada.
In his audition for BGT 2014, he impressed both the judges and the audience, to the extent that Simon Cowell said he was “without question the best magician ever on Britain’s Got Talent.”
That same year he had his own ITV show called Darcy Oake: Edge of Reality, which was hosted by Christine Lampard.
Alexa Lauenburger
The 11-year-old German contestant, who previously won her country’s version of BGT, bagged herself a place in the grand final in week two.
She performed with her eight dogs, involving flips, tricks and dances.
Her routine wowed hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who awarded her the Golden Buzzer.
Mersey Girls
The all-female dance group beat the likes of BGT 2018 winner Lost Voice Guy in week two to win a spot in the final.
They were announced as being in the top three with Italy’s Got Talent winner Antonio Sorgentone and America’s Got talent winner and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.
But the girl group came out on top in the superfan vote.
For dancer Julia Carlile, who was told she may never dance again due to her scoliosis, this was, of course, the icing on the cake.
Kseniya Simonova
It was all about the overseas acts in week one of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, with Kseniya Simonova nabbing the Golden Buzzer, courtesy of Amanda Holden.
The former winner of Ukraine’s Got Talent put on an incredible show, dedicated to the sick children she works with, in a moving sand art performance.
After Amanda pressed the Golden Buzzer for Kseniya, the mother-of-two said that talent comes in all shapes and sizes – even with the simple use of sand.
“Your sort of quiet skill requires no language, no nothing,” she shared.
“This is the champion of champions, with all nationalities, we’re going across the world. Your performance, nothing needed explaining, you did it all with just sand.”
Simon Cowell admitted he would have pressed the Golden Buzzer after being moved by Kseniya’s touching performance.
Bello and Annaliese Nock
Bello and Annaliese Nock spun around on The Wheel of Death and straight into the final in week one with their electrifying and daring act.
Their mixture of humour and danger were a big hit with fans of the show.
The two originally appeared on America’s Got Talent, so Simon would have already been familiar with their work prior to seeing their shock performance on stage.
While Bello and Annaliese didn’t get the Golden Buzzer, they were placed in the top three along with two other BGT veterans – Boogie Storm and Ashleigh and Sully.
But the American father and daughter act got the nod in the superfan vote.
Fans must already be wondering how they are going to top their first performance.

When is the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final?
The Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final will air THIS SATURDAY (5 October, 2019) on ITV from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
Previous episodes are available to watch on the ITV hub and catch up channels but sometimes only for a limited number of days.
Contestants competing in the series have been judged by Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon.
Earlier in the year the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions final was filmed at Wembley Stadium, as each episode is pre-recorded.
But the winner of the competition was embarrassingly revealed ahead of the launch, as they announced their victory via social media.
At the time, a TV source exclusively told The Sun Online: “Bosses are absolutely furious at the winner.
“There’s no way they should have done that and producers rang them immediately and told them off.”
