SIMON Cowell is in for a shock on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions this weekend when he becomes convinced his son Eric is on stage.
Boogie Storm take to the stage at Wembley Arena with a new addition – a mini-storm trooper.
Simon quickly becomes convinced it’s his five-year-old son on stage.
“They actually had a mini Stormtrooper with them this time and Simon thought it might be Eric,” David Walliams tells us.
“I thought it was Dec!
“But I think it is one of those acts that is so simple, you think how come no-one else thought of this?”
“Most people of a certain age likes Star Wars.
“Although Simon was an adult when Star Wars came out, let’s not forget, because it was 40 years ago, and he’s 60 this year which I keep reminding him of.”
Acts from all over the world will compete to be crowned the champion of champions.
The series will run for six weeks, with the show likely to end on October 5, 2019.
Constants and judges filmed the final at Wembley Arena at the end of July.
Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden judge the long list of acts in this revamped series.
Speaking ahead of the series premiere, Simon said: “I love the idea that we could do something which is different.

“Having done the American show, it’s a very different kind of competition between an international act entering your main show and then representing their country on Champions. There is a very different mindset.”
Meanwhile, veteran judge Amanda added: “This show is the cream of talent from around the world. So there’s nothing stupid, there’s nothing to criticise, there’s nothing that needs particularly any direction.
